“Sprint Car 101” to be Held at Kossuth Co. Ag & Motorsports Museum

The Kossuth County Agriculture & Motorsports Museum will host “Sprint Car 101, an Afternoon with Norm Wiemers” Sunday, November 23, 2014. The free and open-to-the-public educational program starts at 2:00 p.m.

Norm Wiemers, 2013 inductee into both the Kossuth County Racing and Knoxville Raceway Halls of Fame, will discuss his racing career and answer questions from the audience. Wiemers competed at several Midwestern race tracks and qualified for the very first Knoxville Nationals.

The event is held in conjunction with the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum. According to museum curator Tom Schmeh, “We are excited about working with the Kossuth County Ag & Motorsports Museum in Algona again on the afternoon with Norm Wiemers. It follows our very successful program up there this spring with Jim Edgington, Dick Forbrook and Stacy Redmond. I encourage sprint car fans in North Central Iowa to come out at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 23, to the Kossuth County Fairgrounds in Algona.”
