Welcome to the Kossuth County Agriculture & Motorsports Museum, featuring the Benschoter Train Station.
Our museum honors and remembers the rich history and heritage of agriculture and motorsports in Kossuth County, Iowa. We also feature the massive life-long collection of working scale model "O" gauge trains of Algona resident, the late Arlen Benschoter.
We are located on the Kossuth County Fairgrounds at 800 East Fair Street (Hwy 169 South), Algona, IA.
Hours: Saturday's & Sunday's 1:00-4:00 p.m. April 1st thru November 2024.

Admission: $5.00/adult.
Building entrance and both floors of the museum are handicapped accessible.

Agriculture displays and equipment will educate visitors about the tradition, history and importance of Kossuth County agriculture. You will also learn about the dramatic changes made by ag in our life.

Train Station
Arlen Benschoter's massive "O scale" working train collection is featured in the Benschoter Train Station. On display for the first time to the public, we are proud to feature his life-long passion for trains. This collection is sure to entertain young and old alike.

Racing Hall of Fame
The Kossuth County Racing Hall of Fame, established in 2007, recognizes individuals, living or deceased, who distinguished themselves with a record of success or contribution to the betterment of racing in Kossuth County. Honorees must have lived in or raced in Kossuth County, Iowa.
