The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum Foundation is pleased to announce that it is once again traveling north on Sunday, November 20, to present its next Sprint Car 101 forum, entitled “An Afternoon with Doug Clark, Tom Savage & Keith Frantsen.” The free and open-to-the-public program, to be moderated by Chad Meyer, will be held at 2 p.m. at the Kossuth County Agricultural & Motorsports Museum on the fairgrounds in Algona.

According to Chad Meyer. “We look forward to hosting Sprint Car 101 again and are grateful to partner with the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum for this event. Though their careers all took different pathways, Doug, Tom and Keith all share a similar connection. Each were heavily influenced by racing in the Sioux Falls and Jackson areas before their careers took them across the Midwest and the country. Doug Clark frequented the Algona track while serving on Darryl Dawley’s pit crew in the super-modified days and Keith Frantsen was a 1975 sprint car winner here. The museum is proud to have artifacts and a sprint car from Frantsen on display during this event. Each has amazing stories and recollections that will tell the history about this sport and how our area impacted sprint car racing as a whole.”
