The Algona Raceway car show will be held prior to Frostbuster racing action on April 5, 2014. The car show will take place 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. and will be held at the cement lot just northeast of the fairgrounds on Hwy 169, the location of the former Candlelight hotel. (**Note time and location change!)
The event will be held, weather permitting. If races at Algona Raceway are cancelled, the car show will be postponed.
Racers are asked to unload race cars on the north end of the lot, near Ricke’s Engine and Machine, and then park their haulers in the pit area of the race track. Race cars will be parked on the cement of the lot.
The event is presented by the Kossuth County Ag & Motorsports Museum.The museum will be open to the public from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. April 5th.
A special collection of old racing programs, photographs, brochures and other items will on display in the museum April 5th. Admission is $3.00.
Algona Raceway will award trophies to each class winner during the Frostbuster races.
